Layla travelled around from high school to high school as a the daughter of a Navy officer.
Influenced by her 2 older brothers, the one constant in her life was sports and being active in lots of things. In college she became the coxswain for the men's rowing team, meeting Brad, and from there her fate was sealed! |

 Brad Gibson
Since high school Brad has been a star athlete, lettering in rowing at Greenhill High School rowing, and going to on to college to be an All-American rower.
He and Layla met when Layla joined the men's rowing team as a coxswain. Brad knew he would spend the rest of his life with her the day they met. |

 Our love of sports and the outdoors is what brought us together. We spent many hours together at early morning crew practices, but when we had a moment to talk, we realized we had much more in common than that. |
